Nothing went to plan, pero nada, tenemos quenepas y playa. began with a family day trip to the Cuevas de Camuy. We took too long, arrived after closing, and had to change the plan. So we headed toward the north coast. On the way: quenepas being sold by the roadside. Just like that, the trip was getting better.

We ended the day by the water, sharing fruit with our spouses and kids, laughing at the plan that never happened. This piece holds that feeling: warm sand, Caribbean blue, sticky quenepa fingers, family, and the reminder that a detour can still be a blessing—fruitful in every sense.
